Cut off your new caulking tube tip to make a small angled opening in spout.

Insert  "SmartCap®" pin with cap tightly into spout. This will puncture caulking membrane. Your tube is now ready to use.

When finished caulking, push "SmartCap®" with pin into tube spout until snug.

Tube is ready for storage in a dry, cool, out of a direct sunlit area. It's that easy!
Instructions:   SmartCap®-PRO (for tubes of ADHESIVES only!)

Initially, use adhesive tube as purchased! Use original SmartCap® to puncture membrane. If you plan on using the adhesive within the next 2-3 weeks, insert SmartCap®. If not, cut off entire spout as shown above.

Using a flat head screw driver,
remove 1/2" of adhesive from top of tube to expose the remaining factory nozzle, and to make room for red plug.  Also remove/cut the silver film membrane.
#3            ***IMPORTANT***
SCREW IN Red SC PRO plug.
(DO NOT push in!!!) The threads are designed to create it's own grooves into the remaining nozzle material, like self-threading. Your tube is now ready for storage.

Unscrew red plug, screw in Black SC-PRO flanged spout. (DO NOT push in!!!) Tube is now ready for use. For storage, repeat step #3. It's that easy!
 
SmartCap®-PRO is reusable!  Follow the steps.

  Unscrew and let adhesive completely
  dry in black spout, (will take 2 months
  time). Push and/or drill out solidification.

      If you plan on using your tube within a
      month, keep black spout in tube and
      simply insert an original orange
      SmartCap® for temporary storage.

SmartCap®-PRO long term       storage.

        Clean-up:
  1. Remove black puncture tool from cap as shown.
  2. Use an ear Q-Tip, dip in paint thinner, wipe the interior and exterior of cap, and all sides of puncture pin.
  3. Re-assemble both pieces. Your SmartCap® is ready for re-use.
